Olympic Games Summary

The Olympic Games are an international event of summer and winter sports, in which thousands of athletes compete in a wide variety of events. The Games are currently held every two years, with Summer and Winter Olympic Games alternating. Originally, the ancient Olympic Games were held in Olympia, Greece, from the 8th century BC to the 5th century AD. In the late 19th century, Baron Pierre de Coubertin was inspired by Olympic festivals to revive the Games.


Youth Olympic Games Summary

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) are planned to be an international multi-sport event held every four years in staggered summer and winter events complementing the current Olympic Games, and will feature athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. The idea for such an event was envisioned in 2001 by International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge On July 6, 2007, IOC members at the 119th IOC session in Guatemala City approved the creation of a youth version of the Olympic Games.


My Favorite Sport Short Introduction
In spite of the fact that there are actually table tennis tournaments all over the world, especially in China where table tennis is a major sport, the game itself isn't really taken seriously by many people. We could debate on the why of this until our sun goes nova but we'll leave that debate for another time.
